Why I started Petals & Paws
Because dogs are family — and family belongs in the big moments.
Petals & Paws Melbourne grew out of four dogs of my own and years of hands-on pet sitting and house sitting across Melbourne. I didn't set out to run a kennel. I set out to offer the kind of care I would want for my own dog: calm, personal, and genuinely attentive.
That experience shaped everything. I understand the little quirks of Oodles and companion breeds — the routines that settle them, the social moments that lift them, and the quiet signals that tell you something isn't quite right. Training my own dogs through their quirks taught me that understanding a dog's personality is what turns ordinary care into trusted care.
My corporate background as a consultant taught me how to manage multiple clients at once, keep detailed timelines moving, and deliver events where every moving part has to land perfectly. That is what makes the wedding side possible. I know how to juggle suppliers, keep a minute-by-minute run sheet on track, read a room, and stay calm when the day is moving fast — so your dog's part in your wedding feels effortless, not added stress.
